Services and Rates

Silver Hill is a one-stop creative hub for any and all audio production projects that you’d like to start, finish, enhance or advance.  If you’re in need of someone to help develop your project from the ground up, or just need advice or an objective opinion on a particular aspect, we’ll meet with you first to discuss what you’d like us to provide, in order to make sure you’re getting exactly what you need, and nothing that you don’t want. 

Come in to track any and all of your audio ideas.  Acoustic instruments, electronic, vocals, you name it.  With a locker of diverse microphones and professional-grade preamps, we’ll take the time to get the sound that you’re looking for, and get it recorded meticulously.  And if you need to track in a hurry, we have an in-house drum kit, guitar amps, bass amps, modern and vintage keyboards, all ready to mic up and put to use. 

If you’ve already got your tracks recorded, but are looking for a place to create your mix, we can easily import your tracks into our ProTools platform and put together a professional mix.  You can guide the process personally or hand it over to Silver Hill for a mix with a fresh perspective.  Old-school, traditional mixes, or creative, attention-grabbing effects and surprises, we’re adept at maximizing the essence of your vision in a way that enhances your project without overwhelming it. 

Got a majority of the work done, but need to add a quick guitar solo or backing vocal?  No problem!  We’ll import your data, set you up with a few open tracks, and help you add those finishing touches.  We even have an array of small (and sometimes unusual) percussion instruments to let you add the “sweetener” your project may be missing. 

If you want to create loops, beats, or background tracks for any reason, we’ll help you create sequences with which to audition our library of keyboard and percussion sounds.  If you’ve already got the sequences together, we can import them and run them through gear that will animate your tracks and make them shine!  No need to limit yourself to the tones you have on hand. 

Our comfortable, oversized vocal booth is the perfect place to record vocals for TV or radio commercials, podcasts, audio books, or any other number of voice-related applications.  Warm preamps, professional microphones, and a frequency neutral room all combine to help you get the exact sound and nuance you’re looking for. 

If you need original music as a bed for your voice work, help with writing a bridge or an intro for your piece, or someone to put together an original horn or string arrangement, studio owner Mike Weaver is an accomplished composer and arranger, with a degree in Music Theory and Composition.  We’ll be able to work with you to create compelling sections and arrangements that will make your project shine, but in a way that’s appropriate to its context. 

If you’re a songwriter trying to put together a larger arrangement for the purpose of recording or shopping your original material, we specialize in adding a full band to your work, including drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, and any other style-appropriate instruments.  We’ll even bring in a professional vocalist if you fancy yourself as more of a songwriter than a singer! 

The live room at Silver Hill is equipped with a PA system, drum kit, bass amp, guitar amp and keyboard amp, all ready to fire up and get to work on your next hit without the added stress of recording.  Ideal for bands who need to get ready for a live show or hash out arrangements, but don’t have the space in which to do it.  We rent this out at a reduced rate from our regular studio rate on a case by case basis, so give us a call to discuss. 

Got a cassette tape of your old high school band, or your first piano recital?  But don’t have a cassette player?  We can convert your beloved old recordings to something that you can share again.  Cassettes, CDs, even Reel-to-Reels (!), we can convert to or from any of these formats, even uploading a fully digital copy to your drive, so you can add it to your personal playlist.
